GRANT TOWNSHIP REGULAR MEETING
June 1st, 2026
Meeting was called to order by Supervisor, Todd Torrey, at 6:00 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance was said by all in attendance. (23)

ROLL CALL:  Present- Jennett, Torrey, Bettis, Emry, Freeman

AGENDA for June 1st 2026:  Motion by Torrey seconded by Bettis to approve agenda as printed.

      All ayes

MINUTES for May 4th, 2026 : Motion made by Emry to approve, second by Freeman. All ayes.

TREASURY REPORT: Motion by Jennett seconded by Torrey to acknowledge and file Treasury report.

All ayes.

BILLS PAYABLE:  Motioned by Emry seconded by Freeman to approve bills for May 2026.

     All ayes 

FIRE REPORT: Report for the month of May on file. Motion made by Torrey seconded by Emry. All ayes.

PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT: Verbal report by Freeman stating that still working on master plan and zoning book. Motion to approve made by Freeman, seconded by Jennett.

ZONING ADMINISTRATOR REPORT:  Motion to approve Zoning administrator reports for May 2026. Motion made by Emry, seconded by Jennett.

BLIGHT ORDINANCE ENFORCER’S REPORT: Motion by Jennett, seconded by Bettis to approve the month of May blight report.  All ayes

CORRESPONDANCE:

  1. Assessor received 100 percent on recent audit report.

PUBLIC COMMENT:  6:15 pm

  1. Bill Mckenzie- mail delays due to staffing
  2. Laurie Muldoon – questions about treasury report
  3. Larry Hauley- sign pointing to cemetery on old state rd is decaying
  4. Tracy Mc- compost is on summer hours – Sat- 10-4, Wed 9-12, also thank you to mason stern for cleaning up trash that was dumped
  5. Cindy Porkoski- how long are campers aloud to park on lake
  6. Patti Fowler- Mike Hoppe cleaned and got sand lake flowing properly

UNFINSHED BUSINESS:

  1. Funding of Sting- Motion to pay sting made by Torrey, seconded by Emry. All ayes
  2. Road projects for 2026: Motion to approve projects: Jay, Pardee, and Corley and one road off Boston

NEW BUSINESS: 

  1. Maintenance for Generator: Motion to approve maintenance for generator provided by Total Energy Systems made by Emry, seconded by Jennett. All ayes.
  2. Computer Service Agreement- Motion to approve Daves Computer Service Agreement made by Torrey, seconded by Emry.
  3.  Website maintenance- motion to approve Sixty Lakes Net to manage our new facebook and website.

PUBLIC COMMENT:  6:40 p.m

  1. Tracy Mcintrye- informational-Community Center will be holding Fathers Day Banquet June 21st and Childrens Day June 14th
  2. Laurie Muldoon- concerns over leaves being dumped on Iroquois Trl.

Motion by Torrey, seconded by Emry to adjourn at 6:50 p.m.  All ayes
