Tax Bills

Summer tax bills are mailed out the first week of July and the winter tax bills are mailed out the first week of December.   If your mortgage company pays your taxes, a copy of your tax bill will be sent to your mortgage company and a copy will be sent to you for informational purposes only. If you do not receive them by Mid July, please call the Office – 989-469-3177 Ext. 3

Receipts are sent only if payment is accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.  

Please retain your portion of the tax statements for your yearly income tax.
WE DO NOT accept posted mark date – payments must be to Treasurer Office by Due Date
PLEASE NOTE – there is a secured DROP BOX in front of the Township Hall for your convenience
We DO accept partial payments during the normal tax season for collection (months July – February)

Summer Tax Deferment

Qualifying property taxpayers may defer their summer taxes until February 13, 2027, without penalty.   The property must be the principal residence, gross household income for the preceding calendar year did not exceed $40,000 and you are 62 or older, paraplegic or quadriplegic, eligible service person, eligible veteran or their eligible widow or widower, a blind person or totally and permanently disabled.  Agricultural property may qualify if the gross receipts for the previous year are not less than the household income or the owner for the preceding calendar year.   Forms must be filed each year by September 15th to qualify.

PAYMENTS – Accepting Payments by Check, Money Order, Cash – When paying by CASH please try to bring the correct amount.
Checks are accepted only as conditional payments of taxes.
If the check is not honored by the bank the tax payment is considered unpaid – additional fees will be applied.
