We recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
- Motion made byMike Hoppeto approveMarch31, 2026minutes with one change to the comment during the public hearing made by Laurie Muldoon. If a land use is not explicitly listed, it is not allowed. Motion seconded byBrad Freeman. All in support, motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
- The floor was opened for public comments on the cell tower proposal. See next page. Public comments was closed and a vote was taken. A motion was made by Lori Mather. Seconded by Mike Hoppe. The vote was unanimous to turn down the cell tower proposal.
- We reviewed the new land use map. The parcel overlay does not match the GPS overlay. Work needs to be done to get them to match up. There are many non-conforming parcels in our district. Lori will get the information to Tim to review.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Nothing.
OTHER CORRESPONDANCE
- Grant Township Meeting–Nothing to report.
- Board of Appeals–We received a request to build a home closer to the property line than is allowed.
- Zoning Administrator report –No new issues.
- Blight report –Norm is working with the lawyer to clarify writing tickets and informal hearing/meetings.

Public Comment on the Cell Tower
Carol Bleau – Anyone that can see the tower should be notified. She suggested the Community Center as an alternative.
Carl Jacob – Radiation and house values are a big concern. Why is the tower needed.
Jen Ayers – Article 11 (not 13 as listed before). What about the fall radius? Property values – we sell nature and businesses depend on people visiting.
Bart Stern – It is expected that we will go to 6G which means more antennas.
Dan Kammer –Land lines are gone. Everyone works remotely and everyone is streaming so there is a need.
Nancy Hinkleman – Land association stopped the last tower.
Jim Jarvis – I don’t want it in my back yard.
Bart Stern – Starlink is great
Carl Jacob – Everyone has coverage.
Jen Ayers – Article 11.27 says the Geotech report needs to say it’s safe.
