GRANT TOWNSHIP REGULAR MEETING
April 6th, 2026
Meeting was called to order by Supervisor, Todd Torrey, at 6:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was said by all in attendance. (32)
ROLL CALL: Present- Jennett, Torrey, Bettis, Freeman Excused: Emry
AGENDA for April 6th: Motion by Torrey seconded by Jennett to approve agenda as printed.

MINUTES FOR March 2nd regular and March 25th budget meeting – motion to approve made by Jennett, seconded by Freeman. All ayes
TREASURY REPORT: Motion by Jennett seconded by Freeman to acknowledge and file Treasury report.
All ayes.
BILLS PAYABLE: Motioned by Freeman seconded by Bettis to approve bills for month of March 2026. All
ayes
FIRE REPORT: On File. Motion to approved made by Jennett, seconded by Bettis. All ayes.
PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT: Freeman reported on April 28th at 7:00pm the planning commission will discuss the decision of the cell tower. Motion to acknowledge made by Torrey, seconded by Jennett. All ayes.
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR REPORT: Motion to approve Zoning administrator report from March 2026. Motion made by Jennett, seconded by Bettis. All ayes
BLIGHT ORDINANCE ENFORCER’S REPORT: Motion by Torrey seconded by Jennett to acknowledge and
File Blight Ordinance Enforcer’s Report as printed for month of March 2026. All ayes

- Patti Fowler- would like to see blight info online
- Nancy Hinkleman- wanted to make sure the letter she sent to planning commision was read,
and what was the public reponse to tower - Randy Volcant- Question about cell tower, concerns with boat wrap maint.would like Torrey to
call DNR - Bart Stern – would like to know who has the last say in the tower decision- the planning comm
does, hopes planning commision does research with health effects - Jim Jarvis states the property for tower is zoned farmed residential- special permit can still be
used - Janet Kalowski- 6 letters were sent for possible location of tower, 4 came back positive
response
UNFINSHED BUSINESS: - Met with lan Matheson- Isoco Recycling Coordinator- bin will be put by ball fence, county
will pay for camera, cement slab and maint. Grant Township is next in line to get reclycling site. We hope is will save money from compost operations.
NEW BUISNESS: - Approve dust control contractor for 2026 – Motion made by Torrey, seconded by Bettis 2. Update blight ordinance complaint form
- Have township attorney update civil infraction ordiance
PUBLIC COMMENT: 6:46 - Norm Andersen- Concer with garbage getting left in recycling area, county will monitor
